Growing up as a first-generation daughter of Mexican immigrants in California's Central Valley, I experienced firsthand how childhood trauma and intergenerational trauma can shape our lives.
Despite years of meditation, spiritual practices, and traditional therapy to heal from experiences with poverty, mental illness, incarceration, and cartel violence, I found myself experiencing workplace retraumatization and struggling with personal relationships in my early career. The effects of childhood sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with mental illness, and navigating immigrant family trauma were still dictating my life choices and limiting my potential.
This realization led me to pursue certification as a Trauma Recovery Coach through the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaches - not just to continue my own healing journey, but to support other women of color who deserve to create lives filled with love, joy, and authentic self-expression.
As a certified Trauma Recovery Coach, I'm qualified to support adults in trauma recovery based on my lived experience, professional training, and ongoing education. My personal journey through healing has given me deep insight into the specific challenges faced by survivors of:
-Complex PTSD
and childhood trauma
-Workplace trauma and career-related retraumatization
-Depression stemming from unprocessed trauma
-Codependeny patterns rooted in family dysfunction
-Grief and loss
from violence and family separation
-Plus additional trauma recovery specialties we can discuss during your discovery call
Curious about how Trauma Recovery Coaching compares to therapy? Your discovery call is a safe space to explore fit - if we determine we're not aligned, I will do my best to connect you with other qualified professionals who may better meet your specific needs and goals.
My approach to trauma recovery coaching honors both evidence-based healing and the cultural wisdom of lived experience, using regenerative methods that create sustainable patters rather than depletion. Understanding that healing isn't linear, the methods I'm most skilled in include:
While I don't accept insurance, I believe trauma recovery should be accessible to everyone. Coaching investment is discussed during our free discovery call using a sliding scale model tailored to your circumstances. BIPOC clients with financial hardship or caregiving responsibilities receive additional sliding scale support, often at rates comparable to quality health plan co-payments. All pricing is determined based on income and cost of living.
